OOTD – D.I.Y Ripped Tee

D.I.Y Tee

It’s officially September, and whilst I am saddened that the nights are drawing in and the idea of topping up that tan is a dream that I probably won’t see materialize now till 2017. I am actually very excited for the upcoming season. It’s no secret that I am a lover of all things autumn, and I’m so excited that it’s just round the corner.

So as a nod to the approaching season and a wave goodbye to summer – I created this ensemble. Admittedly on reflection I would change a few things, but hey everyone makes mistakes.

The T-shirt was incredibly in-expensive, it cost me £2.99 from amazon. Hint – it didn’t look its current state when it was delivered. I decided on a rainy august morning to get my ‘D.I.Y on’ and it didn’t stop here – as you will soon discover in my next post. I added a ripped neckline, and a few holes nearing the right hand sleeve. The tone seemed quite autumnal and warm and is very flattering next to my tanned skin tone – yes this is me when tanned!

In order to get this look I simply got a bit scissor happy, although I would strongly recommend working to an image because its very easy to get carried away. Overall I really like the effect that I have ended up with and think I might take the scissors out to some more of my baggy t-shirt collection! And better yet it wont cost me a penny!

On reflection I don’t think I would have partnered them with these shorts, however these Levis’ have to be one of my best buys all season. They cost me around £14 and are a pair of ‘vintage’ remade shorts from Urban Outfitters. The bag that you will find so elegantly swung over my shoulder – I think not – is also from Urban Outfitters and was also purchased in the sale. SCRATCH MY EARLIER STATEMENT The bag is definitely my best purchase and that was £12 and I have worn it pretty much every day since.

I am also showcasing my new balances on here for the first time! At first I wasn’t so sure as to whether I should get them, but I needed a shoe that would be for walking around Falmouth town centre on days that I don’t really want to make an effort – a.k.a. hungover days when all I want to wear are jeans, baggy t-shirts and oversized jumpers!
