I worked during LFW again!
So I know this is really late and even Paris Fashion Week is now over, however London Fashion Week took it out of me as it always does. In fact this is the first season that I haven’t become ill.
I had such an amazing time this year and had so many amazing opportunities, but more of that later. For now I just thought I’d cover the basics and tell you what I got up to on my first day. Myself and Alex had travelled up together the previous day via train and then had a briefing with the wider team. Its only then that I am reminded just how many people are involved even in one fashion show, and how many of them are willing volunteers. This time I was the social media manager for Fashion Scout and you can find loads about them here. But basically they look to discover THE up and coming designers, they have discovered people such as Peter Pilotto, Felder Felder, and many many more.
Another amazing thing about this season at LFW is that I partnered with Quiz Clothing. They kindly gifted me some super chic clothing for the duration of my internship. Because whilst I was working hard, a girls got to look fresh during LFW.
Jumpsuit – Quiz
Choker – Quiz
Trainers – Quiz
Admittedly that picture was taken at the start of the day, by the end I didn’t look anywhere near this good. I had been on my feet for around 13 hours and I was shattered. Day one was by far the longest day, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. Starting with fresh talent at Swedish School of Textiles and ending with well established fashion and rock and roll icon Pam Hogg. My day consisted of scheduling tweets, captioning Instagrams, managing team members, getting squashed in the pit, and forever running around. So much so, that I forgot to take any outfit pictures, there are some more to come I promise!
Stay tuned for more of the same plus some pretty cool stories for the rest of my LFW lowdown!
